Hateful Guardian writer Julie Bindel proposes Feminazi concentration camps for all men

800px-Feminazi_emblem.svgJulie Bindel is a misandrist feminist who is a regular columnist for the Guardian newspaper, having written hundreds of article for the publication. She’s a patron for charities such as “For our daughters” and is the founder of Justice for Women. She’s a regular fixture in the media, particularly on BBC’s Women’s Hour programme and she’s a research fellow at Lincoln University (update: a visiting research fellow). Oh, and she also wants to introduce concentration camps for all men, a group she doesn’t actually even regard as human.

Bindel’s literal Feminazi moment came in an interview with the “Rad-fem Collective” website on August 29th. Upon being ask the question “Will heterosexuality survive women’s liberation”, Bindel responded as follows:

It won’t, not unless men get their act together, have their power taken from them and behave themselves. I mean, I would actually put them all in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans. I would give them a choice of vehicles to drive around with, give them no porn, they wouldn’t be able to fight – we would have wardens, of course! Women who want to see their sons or male loved ones would be able to go and visit, or take them out like a library book, and then bring them back.

I hope heterosexuality doesn’t survive, actually. I would like to see a truce on heterosexuality. I would like an amnesty on heterosexuality until we have sorted ourselves out. Because under patriarchy it’s shit.

And I am sick of hearing from individual women that their men are all right. Those men have been shored up by the advantages of patriarchy and they are complacent, they are not stopping other men from being shit.

I would love to see a women’s liberation that results in women turning away from men and saying: “when you come back as human beings, then we might look again.”

So lets examine Bindlel’s views and proposals. Firstly she wants the power to be taken from men. While a small number of men hold considerable power in the business world, Bindel’s statement is farcical when it comes to the overwhelming majority of the population. Higher education is now completely female dominated, young women earn significantly more than young men, and this supposedly powerful gender absolutely dominates when it comes to low life expectancy, homelessness, workplace death and injury, imprisonment, suffering violence and committing suicide.

Next, Bindel proposes camps for men, not just the men who might be breaking the law (we already have that of course) but all men, just simply for daring to be born male. As with similar concentration camp schemes Bindel tries to briefly distract from her gender hatred and true agenda by adding in some fun activities and therefore perhaps implying they’d be holiday-type destinations. However, it’s made very clear exactly what sort of camps these are as Bindel proposes camp guards (or wardens as she calls them). In true Goebbels style, Bindel disguises the real purpose of these guards by pretending their job is to stop the men fighting amongst themselves, glossing over their main activity which is of course to control, punish and imprison the entire male population against their will and to make them entirely powerless objects to be owned/borrowed by women! Bindel adds in the final missing piece of the Feminazi jigsaw by adding in more than bit of de-humanisation of the men for good measure, likening them to library books that are property for women to borrow. She rounds off her proposals by making it explicitly clear that she doesn’t even consider men to be human beings at present. Taken as a whole, her proposals not onyl meet but massively  exceed any definition of a concentration camp.

One of Bindel’s most recent media appearances was on Sky News during which she rightly (albeit for the wrong reasons) attacked Jeremy Corbyn’s proposals to consider introducing women-only carriages on trains. What Bindel failed to mention was that she was willing to go further than Corbyn, and of course her proposals above would result in every single train carriage being women-only because all the men would be in her concentration camps! Furthermore, seeing as she’s stealing most of her ideas from Nazis, presumably she’ll want to use men-only cattle trucks too for transportation of the sub-human inmates to their destination?

In he feminist world, Bindel’s views are far from isolated and she’s just the latest in a long line of high profile feminists to propose either imprisoning all men or even eliminating or exterminating all or the vast majority of the male population. Bindel’s fellow travellers in this regard include author of the “Scum Manifesto” Valerie Solanas, “academic” Mary Daly (for whom Bindel wrote a glowing obituary) and also Sally Miller Gearhart, an author who also worked at San Francisco State University. Nor is this an isolated incident in terms of Bindel’s behaviour, for example in 2006 she wrote a Guardian column titled “Why I hate men”  and her writing regularly attacks men as a whole falsely paints violence and abuse as gendered, something done by men to women, rather than by people to other people.

More recently, feminist hatred of men has made the news with incidents involving Bahar Mustafa at Goldsmiths’ University and Lib Dem Executive Committee member  Sarah Noble at the NUS Conference (a story broken exclusively by HEqual). it’s interesting that the one common theme that almost every piece of feminist hate is the involvement of the higher education system. Mustapha is the Diversity Officer at Goldsmith’s Students Union who banned white men from events and called for their death on Twitter. Noble’s misandry came to light due to her calls to “ban men from society” at the NUS Women’s Conference, with her Twitter acocunt also littered with misandrist hate speech and she’s since started a new job at the NUS too! Daly was a professor at Boston College who didn’t just want men to be reduced to 10% of the population, she infamously kicked male students out of her classes too! Gearhart worked at a University for decades too and therefore it’s little surprise to see that Bindel is a research fellow (update – a visiting research fellow) at Lincoln University and has previously held a positions at both Leeds and Brunel Universities too. Numerous other feminist extremists also work in institutions in places such as the North east and in Bristol with others exposed in a leak of info from the Rad Fem Hub website.  It’s little wonder we have such a huge gender education gap when so many universities are hotbeds of unopposed gender hatred.

I realise that Bindel does at least get some condemnation from some feminists for her views on trans women, and while this is somewhat welcome, there’s a hugely problematic double-standard at work which totally undermines such condemnation. Any feminist hatred of trans-women almost always stems from the fact that trans-women used to be men and the feminist still regard trans-women as 100% male. While other more direct forms of transphobia do exist out there, almost all feminist transphobia ultimately stems not so much from hatred of trans people themselves but from their extreme misandry. Thus, most feminist protests against transphobia by fellow feminists is often almost completely hypocritical and constitutes little more than faux-outrage. Those feminists opposing Bindel are usually the same people spending vast amounts of time attacking and demonising men and celebrating misandry, thus making them at the forefront of the root cause of the problem and ultimately little different to Bindel herself in the wider scheme of things.

It’s easy to dismiss Bindel’s comments as being extreme and not representative of “real” feminism. However, take out the concentration camp remarks and other extreme content and much of what’s left not only constitutes mainstream feminist thought, but even the policy of public bodies and academic institutions. Many of the sexist phrases and ideas presented by Bindel could easily have come from Director of Public Prosecutions  Alison Saunders, Acting Labour Party leader Harriet Harman, Northumbira Police and Crime Commissioner Vera Baird or even Liberal Democrat politicians such as Lynne Featherstone and all sorts of current policies and public services are outrageously biased against men not to mention completely dishonest in their use and presentation of data.

Feminists regularly complain about the use of terms such as “feminazi” as if it’s an outrageous and completely unjustifiable slur, yet Bindel’s proposals and de-humanising language might as well be lifted from a Nazi manifesto and the silence from feminists in condemning her (and all those listed above) is deafening. Feminists have plenty of time to get outraged by a harmless shirt worn by a respected scientist, they’ll misrepresent a clear joke by Tim Hunt to get him fired from his job. They’ll campaign endlessly about how men sit on trains and assault them if said seating position is not to their liking, and then next priority on their agenda is to interfere with the way men go to the toilet. However, it’s now a week since one of the most high profile feminist commentators openly suggested putting all men on concentration camps until they became human beings and there’s not a word on condemnation anywhere. Until that changes and feminists start condemning misandry instead of celebrating it then the feminazi term is quite clearly 100% justifiable and particularly so in reference to anyone associated with Bindel or the organisations she works for and is associated with.

Note: can people please stop linking to the blog in question where the hate comments are published. The article in question saved on Archive.org and it’s counter-productive to reward extreme gender hatred with web traffic and therefore potential revenue.

  1. I don’t have any training in psychiatric medicine so I can’t diagnose la Bindel’s problems. However, she seems to be insane and in need of long term secure psychiatric care. I’ve said for years that feminism is a mental illness and sufferers should be committed to secure mental institutions, for the good of men and sane women everywhere. Bindel is very much a case in point.

      • So, this crazy-lady wants to put us all in concentration camps? Well, I think she needs to consider what happened to other societies that tried to do that not that many years ago. They were all hunted down like dogs and thrown in the slammer to rot. Of course, the Guardian probably apologizes for this nut-job by claiming she’s just joking or exaggerating, but similar tactics were used by the Nazi party to cover up their dastardly deeds. And again, had it been a man who made such outrageous comments, everybody would be shouting castration and misogynist. When is all this lunacy going to end? When’s the next star-ship for Mars?

    • OMG I am a woman I am now guilty for shit like Bindel when the table is turned? This woman has a serious mental problem!! I am not a feminist and she will have a problem with that too. Sick of the trash like her that is out to destroy male female relations, heterosexuality is not the problem it is the movement that promotes her sick beliefs on other people that should scare the world!! The Rape Culture Feminist who condemns men without any trace of equality or evidence of a crime!!

  2. Ms. CHRISTINA SOMMERS states unequivocally:
“For the past few years I have reviewed hundreds of syllabi from women’s studies courses attended more feminist conference than I care to remember … I have taught feminist theory. I have debated gender feminists on college campuses … MY EXPERIENCE WITH ACADEMIC FEMINISM AND MY IMMERSION IN THE EVER GROWING GENDER FEMINIST LITERATURE HAS SERVED TO DEEPEN MY CONVICTION THAT THE MAJORITY OF WOMEN’S STUDIES CLASSES AND OTHER CLASSES THAT TEACH A “RE CONCEPTUALIZED SUBJECT MATTER ARE UNSCHOLARLY, INTOLERANT OF DISSENT, AND FULL OF GIMMICKS. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME !!!!!!! …words from a TRUE WOMEN !!!

  3. Of course all of this silly thinking is predicated on men doing your bidding being as women can’t pull any of this off on their own. Lol… Not even if we gave women guns could they force men to do any of this so have fun in your own fantasies because in the end women will always be lower on the food chain then men. Always…

  5. This is why we need a male rights movement. This woman is so far out of her mind it’s not even funny anymore..We as men, refuse to stand for this bullshit.

  6. Julie Bindel – Channelling the ghosts of Solanis and Dworkin. No wonder she talks like a twat, it must be nightmare in her mind with those two very sick people in Julies head.

So now I know.. everytime a feminist complains about not being taken seriously I will ask them to clean up their own act and deal with their poster child Herr Bindel.

You know someone is bound to create a poster of Bindel with her concentration camp quotes dressed in nazi regalia.

  7. I will go to that camp. Having a quad, driving around the park, having a sunbath and getting fed? Hanging out with cool guys while the women have to run the show? Where can I sign up?

  8. What this woman promotes IS FEMINISM. This is what it’s all about. Male hatred. If not, then where are all the “good feminists” grouping together to condemn this woman and distance themselves from her? They haven’t and never will. Just like they never have done before when blatant male hatred spewed from feminists mouths. Feminazi is an appropriate term.

    • There are plenty of reasonable, moderate feminists. The “no platforming” discussed in this interview is when moderate feminists tell people like this woman to shut up and get off the stage because they don’t want to be associated with her extreme views.

You may not have noticed the reasonable ones because instead of writing opinion columns, they’re out organizing anti-rape events on college campuses, or raising funds for women’s health clinics, or volunteering at domestic violence shelters. They’re taking actual action on real, important women’s issues and actually making the world better for women. And they are awesome.

      • I’m curious which specific groups you’re talking about? Which major feminist organisations reject characters like Bindel and her man hating dogma?

She’s been no-platformed by some feminists because of her anti-trans views, not because of her hatred of men. Bindel and her friends view transwomen as “evil disgusting males”, while those other feminists view transwomen as women, who therefore don’t deserve to be treated like men. In mainstream organised feminism most of her other “extreme” views seem perfectly acceptable, even respectable.

      • They exist to create platforms for that woman to speak on. Egalitarians stand for all the supposed good things in feminism. Why stand for the rest that specifically legitimises her?

  9. “I would actually put them all in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans”
Sounds like this statement was made on the tail end of some argument she’d had with her son about being able to riding his motorbike or something.

Ha ha she couldn’t completely clear her registry before taking on a new argument so a bit of the previous one got grafted onto the next.

  10. This woman’s core beliefs are remarkably similar to a rapist’s. Rapists disregard the humanity of women because it’s in the way of what they want. This woman disregards the humanity of men because it’s similarly inconvenient to her.

    • does that apply to women who rape men? cu the cdc study on rape in 2014 shows women raping men in similar numbers. also, more sexual abuse against children is committed by women than by men.

  12. Bindel both bonkers and in Academe. Far more concerning is that the Telegraph will campaign and now a Tory minister will support bringing the madness of kangaroo courts in US campus life to the UK. Maybe not quite the camps of Ms. Bindel’s imaginings but one more space where males are to be considered guilty of crimes by their mere presence . Once again the most traditional of notions , that of protecting delicate females is mobilised to a cause that seeks the end of all tradition. .

  14. Bindel has always been a man hater, nothing new about that. What surprises me is the number of men who have, and still will buy the Guardian paper and tell me it’s not feminist.
However, what she says may well come true,we are certainly headed that way and the obvious reason is that there is no minister for men.The truth may lay at the fringe but unless real concerted action is taken,I cannot see any change coming. In the UK,for instance,if Farage were a mens activist, questions would be aired but at the moment there are no male champions, only
website activists who do a good job but nobody in mainstream is bothered about or by them. The majority of men love the Jeremy kYLE SHOW where men are looked on as idiots and all other men applaud.

  15. I have seen this kind of stuff before. The feminist cliterati seem blind to the fact that they live in an artificial climate controlled cocoon maintained by men. Without men to move their furniture, fix their air conditioning, and tow their automobiles to the nearest repair shop, where other men will fix them, they are helpless. When their toilets become plugged up with sanitary napkins, which they really shouldn’t be flushing, the odds are high that it will be a male plumber who will show up unclog them. Then there are the sewage workers who work in the tunnels, repairing the grinder pumps that keep everything flowing. Kotex is hard on grinder pumps.

When their electricity fails when they are trying to submit an article to The Guardian, it is men who will turn out on a stormy night to get it working again. I could go on like this for several paragraphs. Their food doesn’t show up in the supermarket by magic. It is mostly men who grow the crops, butcher the meat, and drive the trucks to get it there. Of course we can’t do any of this if we are sitting in concentration camps. Unless they give us Twitter accounts we can’t even have a #He4She campaign. We really need to have a male strike just to show women who it is that keeps society functioning. In the meantime, if I ever see Bindel stranded by the side of the road with a flat tire, I will honk as I go by. She can always user her male-invented cell phone to call another feminist.

    • I just advise men to work in manual work these days. Forget the office, we wont get a chance. When the race war starts the feminazis (which it will do) what will they do? Support the women hating muslims?

  16. I would give her some credit at the very least. At least she admits that she hates men. I actually happen to have more respect for a radical feminist that admits to hating men than a “moderate” feminist that claims that she doesn’t hate men while saying and doing acts that tell you that she hates men.

  17. The only good thing I can say about Bindle is her disgust at the Pakistani muslim origin child grooming gangs who target white girls. Its a pity other feminists don’t take up that cause.

  19. The irony here is that if it weren’t for a hundred thousand men, she wouldn’t even exist. So she is here BECAUSE of heterosexuality, complaining about heterosexuality.

I guess that also means her mere existence is proof of the harm of male heterosexuality. So in a way, she’s right.

  20. I can’t believe what I’m reading…This sorry excuse of a human being needs to be stopped. Throwing around neo-nazi threats, whether it be through gender, race, religion, etc. should NOT be taken lightly & to anybody that supports this woman, you’re no better than her or the savage sexist nazi idealism she conveys. People like this are the reason every country, every race, every religion, and now even genders are at each other’s throat and it has to STOP…I simply pray that she is evaluated and diagnosed with some type of major chemical imbalance in the brain, that way maybe she’ll still have a chance at being a normal human and not this man-loathing psychopath she is currently.

  21. I had an epiphany after reading a recent screed by Bindel in which she claimed homosexuality is not a biological orientation but a choice, and that she freely chose to be a lesbian, that gays in general choose to be gay. That caught my eye, as another radical lesbian misandrist, Sheila Jeffreys, claimed the exact same thing. You can look up an old interview with Jeffreys on YouTube where she states in no uncertain terms that she was not born a lesbian, but rather made the conscious decision to love women and turn away from “abusive” men. Even when the TV host pointed out to her that most lesbians feel that they were born gay and it wasn’t a choice, Jeffreys insisted that they weren’t telling the truth and that sexuality is completely fluid and we are all free to desire whomever we wish, and that patriarchal society brainwashes the vast majority of women into selecting men as partners, when they might well choose women instead were these heterosexist and patriarchal norms not in place.

I think I finally realize why almost all of the most misandristic, virulently anti-male feminists are lesbians. It’s because their sexuality is abnormal even in comparison to other lesbians. They all believe that they chose to be gay and that PEOPLE IN GENERAL choose their sexual orientation! They do not believe in hormones and genetics, they believe in the pure social construction of reality! Finally it all makes sense why these dyke feminists have devoted their lives to vilifying men! They really, truly do believe that gender norms are mere social constructs and that they can make all the hot pussy out there they’re not getting, all that luscious girl flesh switch teams! They never got all the ass they wanted to get and they are bitter about it!

They are jealous of men. And they feel that men have somehow deprived them of their right to great, sweet succulent hetero pussy. They are so fucking deranged they honestly believe we could have a world where half the female population (or more) is lesbian, if they could simply smash the patriarchy. In their crazy minds, the only reason the Scarlett Johanssons and Charlize Therons and Jennifer Lawrences and Kerry Washingtons of the world aren’t sucking clit is because male dominated society has brainwashed them to automatically prefer men over women. Not their own innate biological nature, but mere societal norms.

  22. She had to have been joking, yes? I tweeted her asking. I’m having a hard time believing she was serious. Do we know if she’s followed up yet on this? Has she doubled down, or explained that it was a joke. I suppose I can imagine, that she and the journalist could’ve been joshing about, and maybe we can’t hear the tone in her voice. I want to give the benefit of the doubt so badly on this. Otherwise, it’s insanity.

  25. The hatred that ugly women have for men, never ceases to amaze me.

Fortunately, most young women enjoy being f**ked and seek it out as often as possible from older men – the subversion of Feminism to provide men with an unending supply of young and willing p*ssy continues with excellent results. Keep up the good work ladies – most of those you teach, turn out well and are great keeping older men happy.

  26. Lesbian feminist bull dykes are getting a little arrogant. If I were a member of a poor persecuted victim group, I certainly wouldn’t be demanding that other people be put in concentration camps. But Bindle has made a very dangerous claim, at least dangerous for lesbians, by saying that lesbianism is a matter of political choice. As long as lesbianism was considered to be genetic, lesbians could claim to be victims. Just like people couldn’t help being born black, lesbians couldn’t help being born lesbians. This was how they gained victim status in the first place. If lesbianism is a matter of political choice they can no longer claim to be victims. Instead of belonging to a birth group they belong to a political group, and we can say whatever we like about them.

  27. Does nobody here think that “some kind of camp….quad bikes….white vans…” was tongue in cheek? Banning somebody who’s views you vehemently disagree with is tantamount to a Stalin-esque approach to an issue. If people’s views are so ‘wrong’ then let’s here what they are and challenge them – publicly. I don’t like being told that I can’t hear their views because a student union has decided that THEY don’t like that particular person’s views. And if incitement to violence is part of that individual’s speech, we actually have laws against that.

  28. I’m not sure that Julie Bindel is insane although I certainly wouldn’t rule out the possibility. I think that she is just thoroughly evil, spiteful and nasty along with her ugly sisters like Bea Campbell. However, as Christians, it is our duty to forgive.
